Day 34: Rawstock Film Festival

Tonight I’m headed to the Rawstock Film Festival at the ACT Theater.

If you act fast you may be able to pick up a few tickets on Dibspace. But if you can’t, I’m sure they’d let you buy some tickets the old fashioned way.

Rawstock is all about independent short films. But we’re not talking any old short films. To be fit for Rawstock, it’s got to be just a wee bit warped if not thoroughly inappropriate.

And tonight they launch “Every Day is a Journey” – a film series where one director picks up where the last one left off. (What a brilliant idea!)

Here’s what they have to say about themselves:

RAWSTOCK: INTERNATIONAL* gets a jump on Seattle’s Festival Season witH a cinematic clusterfest on SIFF Eve, May 19TH. RAWSTOCK is the satiating first-course appetizer to The gluttonous gorge to come. witH The Long anticipated premiere of “Every Day Is A Journey” a six-part cinematic serial told by six distinct local filmmakers. Bookending tHis momentous premiere are films from visionary animator Micheala Olson(Fuzzy Insides) and comedy wunderkind VogHt-Roberts(Lemonade Stand). Capping off the evening is Canadian Grindhouse Tour-de-force “Hobo with a SHotgun”.

Start Time:     Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 8:00pm
End Time:     Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2:00am
